Chesterblade Gates

This bespoke pair of hand-forged gates was a rewarding challenge to design and make. Spanning 21ft wide, they needed to remain lightweight so the client could open and close them with ease. I used gothic arch braces to create strength without the bulky metal often seen in modern fabricated gates. Every detail was handcrafted by me — from the latches and drop pins to the top rail features — and I also carried out the fitting. The gates are fully galvanized and finished with durable black paint.
